DCTA (TD3.5)

OVERVIEW
The DCTA (Denton County Transportation Authority) runs for 21 miles from Trinity Mills (near Carrollton, TX) to Denton. The railroad is unique as it runs on tracks that used to belong to MKT (Missouri Kansas Texas). It is also the only commuter line in DFW to cross over a lake; I.e. Lewisville Lake; via the Lewisville Lake bridge (MP 732). This simulation focuses on the DCTA and its operations; with a start time set from 0400 onwards. The Dallas Garland & Northeastern (DGNO) also utilizes DCTA tracks to serve customers from Trinity Mills to Lewisville.

DISCLAIMER
It must be noted that for Friday's lineup, the last two A-Trains (#2967 and #2970) were unable to be added due to conflicting issues with other train runs and deadhead moves, however, it can still be simulated. (I.e. SB01 as #2967 south, and NB06 as #2970. The NB06 would become the southbound deadhead out of Denton, and the SB01 would become the northbound deadhead out of Trinity Mills. Both deadhead runs would enter the OMF yard via the south side - CP North Hebron.)

KEY NOTES
  • - The DCTA and DGNO do not operate on the territory simulteanously. DGNO trains will appear near CP Mill, but they cannot enter the territory until all DCTA trains have returned to the yard.
  • - The derail switch at CP Mill is typically in the derailing position unless a DGNO train is entering or exiting the territory.
  • - Important Note: When DCTA trains exit the OMF yard via the south side, you will need to immediately right click and have the train reverse direction as soon as they clear CP North Hebron (MP 738.0). All revenue DCTA trains exiting the OMF (early morning hours) change direction and head north toward Denton.
  • - Throughout the course of the simulation, some trains going southbound will remain stopped near Medpark. You will have to give those trains authority (I.e. right click, select "Pass Next Red Signal") in order for them to move forward. (I'm not entirely sure what caused that.) Note that this will cause delays for other trains on the territory.
  • - This simulation only focuses on the A-Train from Monday through Friday. The Saturday schedule was not added to the simulation as there are only two trains running the entire day; on the hour. Note that there is no service on Sundays.
