Due to a popular request, I present to you the CSX FF dispatcher desk. This desk covers about 530 miles of trackage throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. It mostly covers the S line between Henderson, NC, and Savannah, GA, which runs through Raleigh, NC, Hamlet, NC, and Columbia, SC. In Raleigh, NC, there are frequent NCDOT trains that run on the line briefly before going onto the Norfolk Southern at Fetner, NC. At Columbia, SC, the major terminal of the route, there are lines that branch off in all directions, along with the Norfolk Southern interlocking in Columbia, SC. The two line segments that the FF desk covers that branch off from Columbia, SC, are the line to Sumter, SC, which then turns into the Orangeburg subdivision down to Orangeburg, SC. Off of this line, there is another branch line to Cementon, SC, which this desk also covers. South of Columbia, SC, the line continues south towards Savannah, and at Fairfax, SC, the Augusta Subdivision comes in from Augusta to Yemassee, SC, which is also covered by this desk. South of Fairfax, SC, is where it starts to get busier near Savannah, GA. Where road trains come in from Augusta and need to diverge at Fairfax, SC. Make sure you keep track of your 530 miles of trackage with this route!
