Fishermen At Sea - James Billingham
This is the music to my composition based on William Turner's painting. It evokes the cold and cruel nature of the sea and bravery of those that sail upon her. The fishermen's song pervades the piece and takes on different characters; first toil, then joy, reflection and finally hope. Enjoy tailoring your playing to meet the emotional themes in the piece.
It is aimed at around grade 4-5 level and is a wonderful study not just for emotional playing but also technical methods like balancing and broken chord playing.
