MU/TH/UR, a typeface created as a homage to its namesake, MU-TH-UR 6000, the 182 model 2.1 terabyte AI mainframe computer interface on board most Wey-Yu space vessels during the first half of the thirteenth century.
First introduced in Ridley Scott's dystopian sci-fi horror masterpiece, Alien (1979), it set an aesthetic language that inspired so many other legacy works in the genre ever since — undoubtedly an immediately recognizable staple of the films production design.
This font contains 3 character sets...
PROGRESSIVE: Features crisp, clean, sharp lines and curves
INTERLACED: Characterized by its retro, CRT lines across, as well as softer corners
CORRUPTED: Follows visual cues from INTERLACED, but takes it a bit further by emulating optical distortion and backlight leak
Alongside those distinct charsets, a handful of vector graphics belonging to the rich and storied iconography of the Alien franchise can be found within the single font file herein, also — all of which require enabling OpenType features, so don't forget to turn those on!
