Flute Student's Steps to Success: ILMEA Cycle 3 is a practical approach to learning the required etudes for the Illinois Music Educator Association All-District and All-State auditions.
This book can be used as a guide to learn the etudes - notes, rhythms, phrases, etc. It can also be used by students who have already learned the etudes as a warmup book. The variety in approaches is intended to both challenge and engage the student, while reinforcing the skills needed to successfully perform the etudes.
Teachers, band directors, and students of any level can use this book as a complement to teaching and learning the etudes.

Matthew Allison is a teaching artist for Gemeinhardt Musical Instruments.
The series of Flute Student’s Steps to Success are also intended to be priced accessibly. Additional online tutorial videos are also being developed to help students grow, regardless of access to flute instructors. Please do not copy and distribute these materials.
