Union Pacific's Salina Sub runs for 113 miles (over ex Rock Island tracks) from Salina to Menoken. CTC is in effect over this line, but maximum speed is only 40 mph. Most train traffic on this line consists of unit coal and grain trains, but occasional manifests and oil trains also make an appearance. This release is based on a 1989 timetable, with the route running from Menoken to Oakley; west of Salina.
