I earn passive income from a few different sources, and the money I earn is automated. Not only that, but I started this venture as a 59-year-old divorced empty-nester.
I had full-time employment working in a corporate office, which I absolutely hated. I’m basically an introvert and I never did enjoy the in-office corporate environment. However, I do love being on the computer and creating work for myself online.
I lost my job due to a big business boom and then came the mass layoffs. I didn’t want to rely on working for a corporate company anymore. I wanted to learn how to depend on myself and provide for myself financially. Besides that, I never wanted to set foot in a corporate office again.
I’m pretty creative by nature. I’m good with computers and learning software. I can whip up a word doc in no time. I’m not bad at creating things like business cards, flyers and book covers. I also really like to write. So, I decided to combine all of these skills and create something for myself.
I wanted to not only work from home, but I wanted to earn a passive income that would allow me to have more free time. There was quite the learning curve in the beginning, but I was determined to find a way. This didn’t happen overnight. I worked on this plan for several months and it seemed that the more time I had away from the office, the more I loved creating passive income.
