With 4 subdivisions converging in downtown Toronto, the USRC was set up by the city of Toronto to prevent a monopoly situation between railroad companies. Over 700 departures per day leave from Union station, moving commuters all over the GTA.
Trains will consistently fill in from right to left and left to right, a steady stream of UPX Express trains, and non-stop GO Trains. The twice-weekly Canadian shows up on Monday / Friday and Sunday / Wednesday. One freight train moves through here and they require the bypass track, they show up on Wednesday.
Trains run from 440am to 0140am, then there is a short break before starting over again.
