Background:
The KCSM Vanegas District spans from Benjamin Mendez to San Luis Potosí. Based in central Mexico, this stretch is ultimately part of the line that runs from Saltillo and Monterrey, to Mexico City and Veracruz. This stretch hosts a couple of connections to Chicalote Aguascalientes, along with one to Tampico. At San Luis Potosí, there is a railyard, along with a KCSM locomotive facility and a lead to GE Transportation.
