This three-page document goes through the primary things to teach when teaching students about debate for the first time. Please note, this is written in accordance with Tour Guide: Introduction to Debate, and therefore may differ from other debate cirricula. This PDF only teaches through the team policy debate system, as students will learn about Lincoln Douglas debates in later years and will probably be better prepared to learn that system of debate on their own.
