I just listened to some of the samples of the cheesy CX500 keyboard that I circuit bent and modified and I was blown away by how crazy some of the sounds were and it made me want to load them into my Korg ESX right away and start tweaking them. Of course, then I had to get some new stuff into it as well, so I took the CX500 (as well as my Casio MT-210) and recorded some snippets into the ESX through my modified Electro Harmonix Little Big Muff. Sampling on hardware is a joy. No screens, just ears, so please forgive me for the rushed, slightly less than perfect loop points.
For those of you interested in these samples, you can download the Open Electribe Editor and extract the samples, but really it is best heard on the ESX where things can get crazy pretty quickly with Motion Sequences, pitch drops, LFO on the pitch or cutoff, etc.
Cheers, and enjoy!
