Duo of Air and fire is based on the four elements: fire, water, earth and air. Woodwinds/ brass instruments represent air, stringed instruments represent fire, metal percussion instruments represent water, and drums and wood percussion represent earth. This particular piece the Bb Clarinet is air and cello is fire. The two elements of air and fire under the zodiac are the best complement and companion to one another.
In this piece both instruments are performing a duet with a mixture of colorful themes dancing from one instrument to the other. Astrologically speaking element Air expands Fire, and so does the Bb Clarinet to the Cello.
