An integral part of Florida’s history, the Florida East Coast Railway ( FEC ) has adopted to overcome various challenges. Represented here is a modern 2019ish layout, with full-day Brightline service between West Palm Beach and Miami.
Rock unit trains, intermodal and local jobs keep this layout busy at nearly all times of the day. Rumors of a special NASA booster train and management has planned for an Office Car special if you play long enough!

Brightline service starts at 0600, departing West Palm Beach on the 10th and 40th minute past the hour, the return trip from Miami leaves on the 20th and 50th past the hour until the last trip at 2350.
This layout features three drawbridges, you will get a request from a Bridge Tender to allow a passing boat. I recommend opening the “ Permits “ tab and RIGHT clicking on the permit, and pre-authorizing all of the permits. You will see a Light blue track request come up when the bridge is about to be raised. Bridges typically operate from 0500 - 2200
