Description

Jenny is a Kamilaroi woman and is a member of the Worimi Aboriginal Land Council. She is mother of seven children and works with disaffected Indigenous youth. Her experiances are reflected in her art as she relates stories in her own unique way.

"PASSING OF THE DAY"

​​​​​​This print of my original painting "Passing of the Day" depicts a day in the life of a mob in the desert. From sun up to sunset and into the night when camp fires are lit and dream time stories are told. Aborigines didn't have a written way to pass on their knowledge collected over thousands of years so it was very important that the elders conveyed an oral history to the children, often in dreamtime stories and other times by singing or corroborees.
