In 1712, a Dutch East India ship called the Zuytdorp was wrecked upon the Western Australian coastline.
The Dutch survivers are thought to have inter-married with the local indigenous tribes of the Malgana and Nhanda, in the Kalbarri, Shark Bay and Murchison areas at the time.
Dna searches and hundreds of artifacts are continuing to tell the long lost stories of this event.
