80's Marshall 4x12 1960B with G12-65 (Impulse Responses for Two Notes Gear)

This is a cab with history as it is owned by former U.D.O. guitarist Mathias Dieth and has found heavy use on tours around the world as well as in studio recordings for the U.D.O releases Animal House, Mean Machine, Faceless World and Timebomb. A really great example for that typical Heavy Rock sound coming from the original G12-65 speakers (in a straight cab).

Equipment used: Chandler TG-2 preamp, RME Fireface, Behringer A 500 linear poweramp, Mogami cables, Evidence directional speakercable, Auralex Gramma cabinet stand.

Microphones used: Audix I5, Unidyne 57, Shure SM57, Heil PR 20, Royer 121, SE Electronics VR1, Shure KSM 32.

Positions explained: IR#1 starts almost right on the cone with IR#2 – 4 moving towards the edge. #2 and #3 cover the typical sweet spots when miking a speaker at the cone/cap edge. The R121 has a straight and a 15 degree tilted position (the VR1 straight only) done in 300 Ohm impedance at the Chandler TG-2.

You get 23 IRs with this package all captured in 96 kHz.
