PMX-311 Strings by PerforModule
A set of seven instruments that make sound by rubbing bows on strings, sampled from the PX-300 Digital Piano and presented in a self-installing pack for Ableton Live 9+.
Included Instruments:
PMX-300 Cello
PMX-300 Contrabass
PMX-300 Pizzicato Strings
PMX-300 String Section
PMX-300 Tremolo Strings
PMX-300 Viola
PMX-300 Violin
The samples for each of 88 keys have been individually recorded through a dual triode vacuum tube with artificially intelligent processing for consistent velocity dynamics and tone quality.
They have been crafted into sampler & simpler racks, optimized with parameters to reflect their true physical counterparts.
The Strings instruments each come pre-loaded with a "string noise" sound generator, a "bow sound" generated with corpus, and a customized reverb preset.
These instruments have indefinite sustain when played with the "bow" setting - as long as you hold down a note, the bow will continue to vibrate on the strings.
Macro Controls:
"Pluck vs Bow": fades between a pizzcatto pluck sound to a sustained bow sound.
"Tone": sets the overall tone color of the instrument.
"Slide": distance of glide between notes. Automate carefully to slide between notes when appropriate.
"Reverb %": how much of the signal is running through the reverb control.
"String Noise": adds in a disharmonic screech.
"Dark vs Bright": fades between two source sets of samples.
"Bow Material": subtly alters the sound of the bow.
"Bow Color": subtly alters the sound of the bow.
"Vibrato": simulates vibrating the hand back and forth on the string. Automate carefully for a humam feel.
"Chop": provides a more abrubt tremolo feel.
